New Breweries & Beer Reviews!

Welcome to VT, Benchtop Brewing!

Y'all know we love a family owned and operated business, so when the opportunity arose to work with Eric and Talia of Benchtop Brewing, we knew we had to jump on it.

Based in Norfolk, Virginia, Benchtop Brewing has two main focuses: quality and innovation. After all, co owner and head brewer Eric spent the majority of his career as a food scientist before trading his lab coat for brewers boots back in 2015. The Benchtop team uses only the highest quality ingredients, sourcing them locally whenever possible. The team says β€œhours of effort are poured into each pint from concept to commercialization to bring the perfect balance of complexity of brewing science, bold creativity, and local ingredients.” Their commitment to innovation and ability to push themselves has really paid off - their brews are unlike anything else in the market right now.

We've brought in 5 styles to the Brave Little State and recommend sampling them all:

  • Fall Festival - 5.3% Foeder Aged Franconian Autumnal Lager

  • Carolina Gold - 5% Foeder Aged Southern Pilsner

  • Scaramouche - 4.8% Foeder Aged Czech Pilsner

  • Proven Theory: 7% IPA w/ Citra & Mosaic

  • Juicing - 6% Sour IPA w/ Guava & Peach (keep scrolling for a beer review!)

Welcome to the Flocc, Benchtop Brewing! We're so glad you're here.
