A Love Letter to Hofbräuhaus
What better way to celebrate Valentine’s day than with a love letter to one of Shep’s all time favorite brews… Welcome to the Flocc, Hofbräuhaus!
Hofbräu is widely regarded as one of the best breweries in the world. Based in Munich, Germany, they brew clean beers in the classic German style. This means Hofbräu adheres to the German Purity Law of 1516, which states that beer should contain only three ingredients (water, hops, & barley), with the addition of a fourth ingredient, yeast, a few years later. Their water comes from wells on their own property and they source only the highest quality Bavarian hops and specialty malts.
In addition to their commitment to quality, Hofbräu has had plenty of practice at their craft - they've been brewing since 1589! Yes, you read that right - Hofbräuhaus has been operating for over 400 years. We're beyond excited to be bringing two styles to Vermont - the Original (their flagship brew) and their Dunkel, which was the first beer brewed at the Hofbräuhaus 1589!
