New Importer Alert! Welcome Winemonger

It is a very exciting time when your company has the honor and privilege to introduce an entire new portfolio to the great state of Vermont!

David began working with Emily Schindler, owner of Winemonger Imports, while buying wine for a small wine bar in Houston. It was there that he was introduced to some of the truly iconic producers in Austria, Hungary, and beyond, such as Roland Velich of Moric (more on those wines soon!), Hannes Schuster of Rosi Schuster, the wild natural wines of Kolfok, among many others. The portfolio has continued to grow and expand with a serious commitment to quality, focusing on producers that practice organics, biodynamics and low-intervention winemaking, and making DELICIOUS WINES.

When VT Wine Shepherd began to expand, Emily was one of the first calls that we made, and we are beyond thrilled that the wines are on the way! There are limited quantities on many of the wines, but more on the way, and definitely room to expand if you see something on the Winemonger webpage that looks appealing, hit up your sales rep or shoot an email to David directly (davidkeck@vtbeershepherd.com) and we’ll do the best we can to accommodate! The first round should be here next week, with more behind it…

We’ve got wines from some of these Austrian rockstars, an up-and-coming producer from Hungary, some kick-ass Chenin from the Loire Valley, and an ORGANIC PROSECCO that can retail under $16. Crazy talk. We’re starting with some of the regularly available wines, but if you want something cool and limited (the single vineyard wines from Moric are RIDICULOUSLY AWESOME), do some shopping and let us know.

Winemonger is also the importer for perhaps the sexiest and finest glassware in the world. We say that with full knowledge that the category is full of great options, but all the others pale in comparison when you hold a Zalto glass. They’re not inexpensive, but they are truly the best.
