At the base of the Homert Nature Reserve in Grevenstein, Germany, you'll find Veltins, a family owned brewery that dates back to 1824, now one of the largest and most popular breweries in Germany.

Veltins is known for their traditional pilsner, which, up until very recently, was the only beer they brewed. It's brewed according to the German Purity Law of 1516 which states that only hops, barley, yeast, and water can be used to brew beer. The water the Veltins family uses is sourced from natural springs in the Homert Nature reserve that the brewery neighbors.

It's 4.8% abv and was voted 'World's Best Pilsner' in the 2007 World Beer Awards.

Fun fact about Veltins: The company is an official event sponsor for selected FIS World Cups in ski jumping, cross-country skiing and Nordic combined.

Yup, it's some pretty special stuff. We're stoked to be offering Veltins in the Green Mountain State thanks to our friends at Artisanal Imports.

Cheers!
